Tara Reid took pretty much everyone by surprise back in August when she got engaged and married to businessman Zack Kehayov -- all in the same day. Well, now the 35-year-old American Pie star has another surprise: She and Kehayov were never actually married!
Reid -- looking disheveled and out of it at Los Angeles International Airport (we'll be kind and blame it on jet lag) -- made this big reveal when a TMZ cameraman asked her if she thought she and her hubby would win at The Newlywed Game.
"No we would lose," Reid said definitively, as she swayed to and fro and struggled to keep her eyes open. And why not? "Because we were never really married," she said casually. "No, it was never legal." Alrighty then! (Watch the video below.)
Reid and Kehayov had a surprise wedding on the Greek island of Santorini back in August, but apparently the two never made their union legal in the United States. The wedding was such a surprise because the duo jumped from "engaged" to "married" all in the same day. Reid gave a play-by-play of the entire event on Twitter, sending messages like, "Love in Greece... I am now a wife:)."
Two days after her wedding, she had to clarify to her Twitter followers that "his name is zack kehayov" -- because most assumed that the man she had married was her boyfriend, Danish businessman Michael Lilleund. Turns out they had recently split, however.
Before breaking things off with Lilleund and getting faux-married to Kehayov, Reid was previously engaged to Internet entrepreneur Michael Axtmann (they ended their relationship in 2010) and Last Call host Carson Daly (the pair split in 2001).
Reid's representatives have yet to issue a response to her statements. And there's no word on whether the actress and Kehayov are still together -- though it sure sounds like the honeymoon period is over.
